The LCA Calculator web platform was designed to simplify the process of calculating environmental impacts across a product’s life cycle. Our objective was to deliver a clean, responsive interface that could serve both sustainability professionals and new users with ease. The design approach focused on clarity and usability, using a minimalistic layout, intuitive icons, and a structured input flow to help users input complex data without confusion. The core user experience was built around guiding users step-by-step through data entry, from material sourcing to end-of-life processing. We integrated interactive charts and visual feedback that updates in real time, giving users a clear picture of carbon footprint, energy consumption, and waste output. A dynamic results dashboard and exportable report feature were included for better data sharing and analysis. Accessibility and multilingual support were also considered to make the platform inclusive and globally usable. Built to be fully responsive, the LCA Calculator performs smoothly across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices. All wireframes and prototypes were created in Figma, followed by detailed user testing to refine interaction patterns and data flows. The final design is not just functional—it empowers users to make data-driven decisions that support a more sustainable future, all from a beautifully streamlined web interface.
